York Country Lodge is made for those who love generously sized rooms filled from floor to ceiling with light and life. With a colourful yet classy scheme throughout, and each room offering its own character and charm, this cottage is perfect for a medium sized group to nestle in and make it their home for the weekend. Enjoy cocktail classes tutored by our talented and experienced mixologists, so you can make a variety of recipes and learn all about the ingredients, textures and garnishes you need to make your favourite new twists or traditional classics. The kitchen is the perfect hub for this with so much space, you can also enjoy afternoon tea laid out on the dining table. The living room with a three-sided sofa is a great area for a group photoshoot while you enjoy a murder mystery or casino night, or cosy up for a pizza evening together with a film and your friends. Hot tub hire is available at York Country Lodge and this can be ready and waiting for you upon check in, bubbling and warm for evening catch ups and drinks. Don’t worry about privacy as the property is located in a gated community with fenced gardens, the soft lawn and mature foliage will offer a relaxed home feel, so you can gaze up at the stars with a glass of prosecco without a worry in the world. With modern décor throughout, a different colour scheme in each room carefully selected to awaken your senses and essential facilities from the well-equipped kitchen and ample seating for all twelve guests, to a cot and high chair saving vital car space, you and your family will not want to leave. Curl up under blankets and cushions on the comfortable sofas for movie evenings after taking a deep bubble bath, and then take your pick of four bedrooms to retire to. York Country Lodge will be your picture-perfect sanctuary suitable for all ages and will give you and your family long lasting memories.

Bedroom one offers a double bed and two single beds, with an en-suite bathroom, sleeping up to four guests. Bedroom two is a single room sleeping one guest, and a further two bedrooms both offer double beds and one of these offers an additional single bed, sleeping up to five guests combined. A further sofa bed can be provided if required for a larger group and this can sleep two guests to make a total of twelve at this property.

House Rules

General

Please fully read any guest handbook or similar information that is supplied at the property. These will contain any specific house rules as dictated by the owner. You are responsible for following these during your stay.

Noise

Please be respectful of any neighbours when arriving/leaving the property, or when making use of any outdoor areas

Please note that any noise complaints may result in the loss of your security deposit and/or your party being asked to leave the property.

Hot Tub

Please do not use the hot tub if you are wearing fake tan.

The hot tub is not recommended for pregnant women or anyone with a heart condition.

We recommend that you use the hot tub for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.

The hot tub may be locked overnight. If this is the case, a caretaker will arrive to lock/unlock it at the designated times. Please respect these timings as they will be in place to comply with licensing requirements or insurance policies.

Activities

If you have booked Activities, our package coordinator will be in touch with you to arrange the times and send you any menus/ spa choices etc, only once the final balance has been paid and numbers are confirmed.

Please note, no 3rd party suppliers are permitted at this property unless booked through Celebration Cottages.

Group Types

We accept hen parties!

Please note if your booking is not a hen party please give details of your group type and occasion at the first stage of enquiry. We will ask you for a guest list during the booking process and only the guests who are on the original booking form should attend the property. If you need to make any alterations to the booking you must contact our booking team prior to arrival.

We insist the lead booker is aged 25 or over.

Booking Terms

Booking and payment process

To confirm your reservation, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package amount is required. Additionally, for York Country Lodge, a booking fee of £215 is applicable. For group bookings exceeding 6 people, a non-refundable large group fee of £75 is also applicable. These fees are taken at the point of booking and are separate, and not deductible, from the remaining balance.

The remaining balance, along with a refundable security bond starting from £500, is due 12 weeks prior to your scheduled stay. Please note that, for some groups and properties, we may require a larger security bond. For bookings made via our online system, the remaining balance will be only be payable via bank transfer. Details on how to pay your remaining balance will be sent to you after your reservation is confirmed.

For bookings within 12 weeks of the stay date, the full package amount, booking fee, large group fee (if applicable), and the security bond are required at the time of booking. We are unable to accept card payments for these short notice bookings; the entire balance will only be payable by bank transfer.
